Kenny Thornburg Obituary - Water Valley MS

Kenny Thornburg, AKA “Cornbread”, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born October 24, 1962 in Rockford, IL to the late Johnnie and Donna Hada Thornburg. Kenny was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan who enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, NASCAR racing and playing with his dog “Boo-Boo”. He was a fun-loving person and always the “life of the party”. Kenny was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Justin Gates officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Crest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Scott Alexander, Billy Lamb, Erick Lamb, Lamar Cummings, Emmett Cook and Robert Golden serving as pallbearers. Jim Davis will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Regina Thornburg of Water Valley, MS; two step-daughters, Jennifer Hall (Jimmy) of Longtown, MS and Michelle McCulloch of Sarah, MS; two step-sons, Dale (Brooke) Lamb of Longtown, MS and Daniel Lamb, Jr. (Ethel) of Crenshaw, MS; two sisters, Lisa (William Frank) McCool of Southaven, MS and Debra (Donald) Corder of Roscoe, IL; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
