Betty June Riley
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, April 12, 2015, Mrs. Betty June Riley, 79, loving wife of 57 years to Rev. Robert W. Riley.
Mrs. Riley was native of Augusta. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and Truett McConnell College. She was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church and the Tracy McDaniel Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Beverly Riley Whitaker (Danny); granddaughter: Hannah Joy Whitaker; brother: Eugene Whitaker (Iris); sister-in-law: Becky Thomas; brother-in-law: Richard H. Riley, III; cousins: Christian Malcolm (Lloyd), Cynthia Byrnes (Reggie), Joyce Cunningham, Jane Jackson, and Ann Daley; special friend: Nell Hughes; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Whitaker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in Kiokee Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in the Kiokee Baptist Schucraft Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Malcolm, Jeff Malcolm, Scott Malcolm, Wesley Hughes, Andy Hughes, and Tony Muni.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at Kiokee Baptist Church.
