Obituary

Paxton-Peter Millette, 72, of Paxton passed away Friday, January 2 at home, surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife, Jean M. (Zamis) Millette; four sons, Russell P. and his wife, Theresa Millette of Holden, Peter Scott and his wife, Jacqueline Millette of Swampscott, Sean C. Millette of Millbury and Shane B. Millette and his wife, Lindsay of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was born in Whitinisville, son of Leo J. and Rita (Brunelle) Millette and has lived in Paxton for 39 years.

Peter joined the US Navy at the age of sixteen. During his four years in the Navy he served on the USS Charles F. Adams, which was a ship that participated in the Cuban Missle Crisis. He also served sixteen years in the US Army, that included two tours in Vietnam as a combat medic and military advisor. After retiring from twenty years in the military he worked as a stationary engineer for Astrazenca for thirty years. In his free time he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife on their yearly trips to North Carolina and Hawaii. He also spent his summers camping with his family. He was a member of St. Columba Church.

The Funeral will be held Thursday, January 8 from CALLAHAN~FAY AND CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Columba Church, 18 Richards Ave.
Visiting Hours are Wednesday, January 7, from 5 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Fund, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, 01707.
