John Richard Dee, 87, passed away Thursday, December 25th at home surrounded by his family. John leaves his wife of 44 years, Constance J. “Connie” (Menard) Dee; his daughter, Shannon Bucci and her husband Charles of Rutland; four grandchildren, Danielle, Connor, Anthony and Kaitlyn; three sisters, Shirley Arnowski and Arlene Castle both of Worcester and Mary-Ann Johnson of San Antonio, TX, 12 nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his sisters, Pauline Janulewicz and Phyllis Mitti.
John was born in Malden the son of John J. and Aina (Soder) Dee. John was a WWII Army veteran. John and his wife Connie lived in Quinsigamond village for 44 years. He worked as a distributor for Telegram & Gazette for 38 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post #435. John enjoyed trips to the Casinos, playing cards, going on vacations and spending time with his family.
Visiting hours for John will be held on Monday, December 29th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 26 Butler St. followed by a Funeral Service at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester, MA 01607 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
