Ruthie Hayse Griffin, age 76 died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born December 24, 1937 in Thaxton, MS to the late Connie and Pauline Carroll Hayse. Ruthie was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved animals, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Lynn Jones officiating. Ruthie is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kay (Lyle) Montesi of Germantown, TN and Deborah Fullerton of Water Valley, MS; two sons, James (Barbara) Griffin and Marty Griffin all of Water Valley, MS; her sister, Ruby Doris Meritt of Corpus Christi, TX; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marrell McKinley Griffin, Sr. and her daughter, Brenda Griffin. | ||||
