Alya Milstead Obituary - Water Valley MS

Alya Jade Milstead, age 36, died at 4:56 am on Friday, December 19, 2014 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born February 28, 1978 in Grand Rapids, MI to Karen S. Weilbacher. Alya was of Baptist faith and enjoyed reading, listening to music and spoiling her two nieces and nephew. She was employed in Oxford, MS as shift lead at both Back Yard Burgers and Zaxby’s and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Alya's kind heart and sweet gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Billy Childs officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery, with Alex Franco, Aidan "Pockets" Nagle, Jason Sharp, Carson Sharp, Collin Sharp, Scott Ross, John C. Tyler, Ross Ingram, and Kurtz Meritt serving as pallbearers. Garland Gholson and Jim Gholson will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Alya is survived by her parents, David and Karen Weilbacher of Water Valley, MS; her sister, Kamika Alvarenga of Oxford, MS; two nieces, Isabel Milstead and Olivia Cerrano; her nephew, Alexander Franco all of Oxford, MS; her grandfather, Aubrey Milstead of Water Valley, MS; her uncle, Michael Milstead of Water Valley, MS; her great aunt, Fay Ross of Water Valley, MS; her cousins, Jason, Jill, Harley, Carson and Collin Sharp all of Water Valley, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gilbert and Isabel Aguilar.
