Delbert Lee "Deb" Ross Obituary - Water Valley MS

Delbert Ross of Water Valley, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Born in Craighead County, AR to the late John Thomas and Snoda Brooks Ross, "Deb" joined the US Army at a young age and later came home to work at Big Yank Mfg. for over 46 years. He was extremely proud of his bountiful vegetable garden, which he shared with friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing as a pastime, but his family remembers fondly that he really enjoyed doing things for others.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5 until 7 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 AM Friday, December 12, 2014 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Gerald Shook officiating.

Delbert is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Gary) Pinkerton of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Rufus (Frances) Ross of Water Valley, MS and Steve (Melanie) Ross of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Carlene (Wilbur) Herring of Water Valley, MS; 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Black Ross; one daughter, Phyllis Lee Ross; two sisters, Lucille Wrenn and Wanda Lee Ross; and two brothers, Floyd Junior Ross and John Edward Ross.
