Jesse Lester Adams, Jr. Obituary - Water Valley MS

Jesse Lester Adams, Jr., age 61, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his home in Water Valley, MS. He was born February 1, 1953 in Lambert, MS to Christine Holloway Adams Merritt and the late Jesse Lester Adams, Sr. Jesse was a member of O’Tuckalofa Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS and he loved helping other people. He enjoyed fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, teasing and playing tricks on people. Jesse was devoted to his family and grandchildren and loved spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks immediately following the visitation with Bro. John Stewart and Pastor Tommy Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Christine Merritt of Water Valley, MS; his daughter, Stephanie Adams Lawson of Batesville, MS; his son, Andy Adams of Abbeville, MS; his sisters, Jo Ann Potts of Water Valley, MS and Mae Watts of Oxford, MS; his brother, David (Amy) Adams of Water Valley, MS; four grandchildren, Joseph Adams, Justin Young, Harley Lang and Lizzie Ellingburg; five nieces, Melissa Hill, Machelle Karsten, McKenzie Glasgow, Christina Adams and Madison Adams; one nephew, Dewayne Potts; one great-niece, Ashley Hill; two great--nephews, Austin Hill and Aaron Montgomery.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Lester Adams, Sr. and his late step-father, Newman Merritt.
