Obituary

In Middleboro, of Dighton November 23, 2014 Stella (Pestana) Crossman wife of the late LeRoy P. Crossman died at her daughters home Linda at the age of 89. Born in Raynham and educated in Taunton, Shella was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (DeSouza) Pestana. Stella enjoyed cooking, painting drawing and arts& crafts. She was the mother of Sandra Scanlon and her husband James of Greenfield, LeRoy “Richard” Crossman of Dighton, Bruce Crossman and his wife Susan Phillips of Taunton, Linda Crossman and her wife Loreen of Middleboro, Elizabeth Courcy and her husband Jean of Maine, Mark Crossman and his wife Tina of Colrain and Michael Crossman of Taunton. Grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday, November 28th from 4-7 PM with a prayer service to follow at 7 PM. A service will be held on Saturday at the Lutheran Church of the Way on 110 Robinson Street in Raynham at 10:30 AM. Shella’s family will be greeting visitors Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30AM. Interment Thompson Hill Cemetery in Lakeville. Her ceremonial fire will be held on Sunday through Wednesday at the Dighton Intertribal Indian Hall, 1111 Somerset Ave in Dighton.
