Kathleen A. "K.T." (Gryss) Nicholas, 54, of New Bedford died November 20, 2014 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of Jeffrey S. Nicholas.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Frederick J. and Marie-Anne E. (Dupuis) Gryss, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Kathleen was a compassionate person who enjoyed helping others. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; 4 children, Katie Tracey of Assonet, Ryan Tracey, Erin Fernandes and her husband Yuri and Erik Tracey, all of New Bedford; a brother, Michael Gryss and his wife Nikki of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Debra Marcondes and her husband Michael of New Bedford and Maria Costa of Fredricksburg, VA; 5 grandchildren, Lucas, Isaiah, Rory, Isabella and Christopher; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the aunt of the late Christopher Jacobsen and Amber Jacobsen.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, November 24th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, New Bedford at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 23rd from 3-8 PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Crystal Springs School, 38 Narrows Rd., Assonet, MA 02702.
