Albert Clinton Dollahite, age 77, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home in Water Valley, MS. He was born February 18, 1937 in Tallahatchie County, MS to the late James Albert and Beatrice Cecilia Nichols Dollahite. Albert served in the United states Army and while stationed in Germany, met and married the love of his life, Irene Emilie Wittmann Dollahite. He loved his work as owner and operator of West Side Electric Company in Water Valley, MS. Albert was a member of both the Masons and the Odd Fellows, and enjoyed attending lodge meetings and playing Bingo. Until his health deteriorated, he was an active member of Camp Ground Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS. Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved having fun and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Fred Eakes and Bro. Jerry King officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Crest Memorial Gardens cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS. Albert is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Steve) Swearengen of Nesbit, MS; his son, Mike Dollahite of Water Valley, MS; his sisters, Mary Griggs and Janice Dollahite both of Water Valley, MS, Martha Ann Moore of Bartlett, TN and Barbara Jean Stephens of Purdon, TX; his brother James Dollahite of Marion, AR; two grandchildren, Heather (John) McGraw of Hernando, MS and Zachary McCraw of Nesbit, MS; four great-grandchildren, Anna McGraw, Ashlynn McGraw, Hunter McGraw and Addison McGraw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Irene Emilie Wittmann Dollahite. | ||||
