Estelle Louise (Silverstein) Sosny, 89, passed away peacefully at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was a wonderful, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family as well as a cherished friend to many. Born in Brockton, she spent her early life in Brookline and moved to Worcester in 1953. While in Worcester, she had worked at David’s House of Beauty; Mechanics Bank, from which she retired; Filene’s; and the Hot Dog Express (where she was known fondly as “Ma”).
A memorial service will be held at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, on Sunday, November 2, at 1:00 PM. Shiva will take place on Sunday and Monday in North Grafton. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory can do so to either Jewish Healthcare Center or JHC Hospice, both located at 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
