Priscilla Davis, 79

ROCKLAND—Priscilla Davis of Rockland, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the South Shore Hospital on Friday, October 24, 2014.

Priscilla was born in Worcester on February 7, 1935, the daughter of Harry Ransom and Eleanor Frances (Buck) Davis. She attended the Bancroft School in Worcester, The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Connecticut, and Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

An exceptionally talented artist of watercolor and oil paintings beginning in her teenage years, Priscilla has left for her family treasured works of art. She was a student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and she also studied with Paul Sample in Hanover, New Hampshire and locally with Miss Shaw. Priscilla was also a fine pianist and loved to drive fast in sporty cars.

Miss Davis is survived by her brother, Phillips S. Davis and his wife, Laurie, of Boylston, Massachusetts; her sister, Frances D. Johnstone of Westerly, Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Tiffany II Rest Home in Rockland for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11.00 a.m. in the Ellen Rogers Kennedy Memorial Chapel, Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester.
