In Taunton, October 20, 2014 Carolyn White, Age 79, passed away in her home peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was the wife of the late Donald White. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Harold & Ruth (Haskins) Ashley. Carolyn has resided all her life in the Taunton area. She was employed at Morton Hospital as a switchboard operator. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed yard work, going to the beach and singing in the Taunton Civic Chorus. Above all, Carolyn cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children Susan McGuire and her husband Robin of Pasqoag, RI, Scott White of Foxboro, Bonnie Ferranti of Taunton, Nancy Nichols and her husband Craig of Taunton and Alexis White of Taunton. Carolyn also leaves her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Saturday, Oct. 25th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday from 5-8 pm. Burial will be in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. Donations may be made in Carolyn’s memory to the CABbies, P.O. Box 171, Raynham Center, 02768 a not for profit local 501 organization.
