Obituary

AUBURN/DUDLEY – Richard W. Lindgren, 80, passed away on Sunday, October 12th. Rick’s wife of 56 years, Patricia H. Frink, died in 2011. He leaves behind his son, Richard R. and his wife Maureen of Dudley; his granddaughter, Marissa and her husband Domenic of West Boylston; his sister, Lillian “Bae” Milley of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Albert “Boo” Lindgren.
Rick was born in Worcester. Following graduation from Commerce High School, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served aboard the U.S.S. LST 883 during the Korean War. Rick worked as a butcher for over 28 years at the former Anderson & Sundquist Market. He was a 50 year member of the Matthew John Whittall Lodge A.F. & A. M. in Shrewsbury and the Quinsigamond American Legion Post #318.
