In West Bridgewater, October 8, 2014 Charles L. Chadwick Age 73, passed away in the Lifecare Center of West Bridgewater following a lengthy battle with cancer. Charles leaves his wife Suzanne (Nevitt) Chadwick of Raynham. He was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Charles Chadwick of Lakeville and the late Phyllis (Place) Chadwick Regan of Westport, step-son of Daniel J. Regan of Westport. Charles had resided in Raynham the past thirty years and was formerly of Dartmouth. Charles served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Commonwealth of MA as a correctional officer, following his retirement he then worked as a purchasing agent for North Easton Machine Company. Charles was a member of the Elks Lodge #1274 in Middleboro. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Red Sox, Nascar and Patriots. Charles also enjoyed fishing, snow mobiling and cooking. In addition to his wife Suzanne, Charles leaves his children Nicole Avila and Monique Smith-Vacca. He was the grandfather of Eric Avila of Acushnet, Chad Avila, and Ashley Smith both of Dartmouth.and great grandfather of Aiven Matthew Avila. Brother of David Chadwick, Daniel J. Regan Jr. and the late James Chadwick. He was the brother of sisters Kate, Debbie, Jane, Nancy, Joyce, Sandra and Patricia. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, October 15th from 5-8 pm. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 Burial will be private at the request of the family.
