WEST BOYLSTON-Mary L. (Dapska) Carroll, 94, passed away Wednesday, September 3 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband of 59 years, Joseph P. Carroll died in 2002. She leaves a son, Robert J. and his wife, Sandra (Flagg) Carroll of West Boylston; three grandsons, Brian and his wife, Kim Carroll, Robert Jr. and his wife, Nicole Carroll and Sean Carroll and his finacee, Jodi Salerno; three great-granchildren, Jack, Nina and Maranda and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Jennie Maloney and Valentine Coonan predeceased her.
Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Dominick and Marion (Kunigonis) Dapska and graduated from Commerce High School. Mary worked for the Bell Shops in Worcester and was a store manager for the former Zayre's Department Store. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.
A Visiting Hour will be held Monday, September 8 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM in FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boys Town National Headquarters, 200 Flanagan Blvd., PO Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
