Obituary

WORCESTER-Matthew DiPierro, 94, passed away Friday, September 19th at Worcester Health Center.

Matthew leaves his wife of 71 years, Bertha S. (Sigel) DiPierro; two daughters, Donna and her husband John S. Gingras of West Boylston and Sandra and her husband Thomas A. Smith, Jr. of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Tanya Sparhawk, Thomas Smith, Joseph Gingras and Johnna Cox; seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Thomas and Anthony DiPierro and his sister, Isabella Leo predeceased him.

Matthew was born in Bari, Italy the son of Vito and Maria (DiReda) DiPierro. Matthew attended Commerce High School. Matthew worked for 35 years as a truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight retiring in 1980. He was a member of Teamsters Local #170. Matthew was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Matthew will be held on Monday, September 22nd from 10:00 to 11:00 am at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston with a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, W. Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
