Pastor Pasqulina "Patsy" (Santos) Ramos, 82, of New Bedford died September 25, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Ramos, Jr.
Born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late Marcos Santos and Mary (Almeida) Lopes and Lawrence Lopes, she was raised in Centerville and lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. Ramos was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church. She was an ordained pastor who enjoyed reading the Bible, spreading the word of God, and ministering to others.
Survivors include her son, Manuel J. Ramos, III and companion Sherri Souto of New Bedford; three daughters, Wendy Ramos, Rosemarie Ramos and Patricia Andrade and her husband Jack, all of New Bedford; a brother, John Santos of Cape Verde; four sisters, Mary Ramos, Anna Perry and husband William, and Maria Santos Barros and husband Nuno, all of New Bedford and Rita Santos of Chelsea; four grandchildren, Derek Ramos, Darren Andrade, Daryl Ramos, and Quintin Ramos; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Antonia "Tanya" Britto, Julia "JuJu" Pena, Joanna DaCruz, Marcos Santos Jr., Anthony Santos, and Jack Santos.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
