In Taunton, August 31, 2014 Doris E. White, Age 82, passed away following a lengthy illness with her loving family by her side. Doris was the wife of the late Laurence B. White. She was born in Milton, the daughter of the late William & Edna (Barrett) Picard. Doris has resided in Taunton the past three years and was formerly of Stoughton. She worked as a teacher’s aide for many years but was primarily a homemaker. Doris was a member and advocate for the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed her time with family and friends. Doris is survived by her sons William White of Wilton, NH and David White and his wife Laurie Anne of Berkley. Doris also leaves her grandchildren Jeannette, Nicholas, Daniel, Hadley and Timothy White. Doris was preceded in death by her siblings Laurence Picard and Janet McCormack. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Funeral services for Doris are private at the request of the family.
