Anna M. (Freitas) Rozario, 94, of New Bedford died August 30, 2014 peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Adalberth S. "Al" Rozario.
Born and raised in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Sylvia) Freitas, she lived in New Bedford and Fairhaven, then lived 5 years with her daughter in Colorado before returning to New Bedford in 2010.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors include her son, Adalberth "Chuck" Rozario of Dartmouth; 3 daughters, Phyllis Rozario and Norma Belay, both of New Bedford and Maria Rozario-Szulga and her husband Marian of Brighton, CO; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Manuel Freitas, Alice Freitas and Marianna Freitas.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 4-8 PM.
