James A. Sansom Obituary - Water Valley MS

James A. Sansom, 77, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home in Water Valley, MS. Born February 21, 1937 to the late Carl B. and Odell Martin Sansom, he was an over-the-road truck driver and traveled widely for many years. His passion was people, and his occupation allowed him to engage with people from all walks of life. Mr. Sansom was a Baptist.

Visitation is planned for Monday, August 25, 2014 from 12:30 until 2 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. David Freeman officiating. Mr. Sansom will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Stephen Sansom, Johnathan Sansom, Chris Sansom, Shane Sansom, Carl Sansom and Todd Sansom serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pat Sansom of Water Valley; five sons, Jim (Linda) Sansom of Leslie, MO, Alex (Kim) Sansom of Union, MO, John Sansom of Memphis, TN, Tom Sansom of Marthasville, MO, and Gary Sansom of Water Valley, MS; ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Sansom.
