CLAUS Helen Magdelena. In Dedham, Aug.16, Age 91, after a period of declining health, Helen passed away at the German Centre in West Roxbury. Beloved daughter of the late Charles L. and Rose P. (Kaufman). She is survived by her loving sister Dorothy A. McCarthy of Dedham. Although Helen never married, she is fondly remembered for her love for her nieces and nephews and their families. Kathleen Mastaby and her husband George of Westwood, Eugene McCarthy and his wife Annette of Norfolk, Stephen McCarthy and his wife Kathleen of West Roxbury, Maureen McCabe and her husband Patrick of Walpole, and the late James McCarthy and his wife Catherine of Roslindale. In addition, she is survived by their children, her loving nieces and nephews: Alana McCarthy, Daniel McCarthy, Elizabeth McCarthy and her husband Pascal Opiyo, Stephen Masterson, Matthew McCarthy, Patrick McCabe, Jenna McCarthy, Meghan McCabe, and Deirdre McCabe. After her retirement form SS Kresge in Roslindale, she spent many years enjoying the company of her extended family as a caregiver, loving aunt, and frequent babysitter. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday, Aug.22, at 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, at 11:30. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
