In Taunton, July 26, 2014 Julia M. Bird, Age 101 passed away in Morton Hospital. Julia was the wife of the late Arthur Bird. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (Highfield) O’Connor. Julia was a lifetime resident of Taunton. She was employed at the former Morton Laundry in Taunton. Julia enjoyed going to Primetime Daycare in Dighton and visiting Foxwoods and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ruth Lounsbury, Margaret Donovan and Monica Bird. Julia also leaves her nieces and nephews Richard and Hope Bird of Taunton, Yvonne Bird, Kathy and William Donovan and the late Jack Bird. Julia also leaves several Great nieces & nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Visiting hours are omitted and a private burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
