Lillian (Silva) Barros, 86, of New Bedford died Friday July 25, 2014 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joaquim M. Barros.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joaquin and Leopoldina (Lomba) Silva, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Barros was a beautician who owned and operated Lil's Hair Stylist for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Steve W. Barrows and companion Patricia Rose of New Bedford, Randall C. Barros and wife Sylvia of Fairhaven, and Nathan R. Barros and wife Bobbi of Tampa, FL; her companion, Antonio Chantre of New Bedford; her sister, Rose Perreira of New Bedford; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sons, Larry W. Barros and Allen Jeffery Barros, and her many siblings.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
