Florabell (Francis) Sylvia, 94, of New Bedford died July 25, 2014 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Raymond Sylvia.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and Cecelia (Frates) Francis, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a member of Disabled American Veterans Dr. C.E. Burt #7 Chapter Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Fernandes of New Bedford; her son, Daryl Sylvia and his wife Nancy of Dartmouth; 2 grandchildren, Gina Fortin and Brian Fernandes; and 3 great-grandchildren, Brian, Isabella and Baileigh.
She was the grandmother of the late Jeffrey Sylvia.
