Michael Wayne Herron, age 58, of Water Valley, MS died at his home on July 11, 2014. Born May 21, 1956 in West Memphis, AR to Sybil Cagle Herron and the late Rev. Reginald Herron, Mike became a radio technician during his service in the US Navy and was stationed in Charleston, SC for several years. He later returned home and worked as a mechanical technician at Borg Warner for over 32 years. Mike was a member of O’Tuckolofa Baptist Church in Yalobusha county.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 pm Monday, July 14, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 10 am Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Cemetery on Highway 6 near Batesville, MS with Pat Herron, Bill Herron, Bob Herron, Jordan Herron, Rider Red and Parrish Lee Red serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Herron, E. J. Robison, Lane True, Charles Heath, and Billy Stark. Survivors include his daughter, Brandi Nicole Herron of Water Valley, MS; his mother, Sybil Herron of Batesville, MS; a step son, Brandon Duke of Banner, MS; three sisters, Joyce Tippery and Laura (E. J.) Robison, all of Batesville, MS, and Kathy (Lane) True of Water Valley, MS; three brothers, Pat (Laura) Herron, Bill (Tami) Herron, and Bob (Eunice) Herron, all of Batesville, MS. | ||||
