Charlene “Kay” Trombley Bardo, age 69, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at her home in Coffeeville, MS. She was born March 19, 1945 in Munising, MI to the late Charles Edgar and Greta Masters Trombley. Kay graduated from Grenada School of Cosmetology and worked for many years as a hairdresser. She later enrolled in the nursing program at Holmes Community College where she earned a degree as an LPN and then worked at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. Kay enjoyed fishing, writing poetry, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Coffeeville, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2014 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Billy Hill officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery with Mason Hardenburgh, Shannon Clements, Eric Allbritton, Andy Bardo, Michael Hill and Marty Bardo serving as pallbearers. Roger Jenkins, Gaylan Bardo and Garrett Bardo will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Kay is survived by her husband, Jimmy James Bardo of Coffeeville, MS; her daughters, Threasa Davis of Henderson, KY, Kimberly Anderson and Angela Jenkins (Roger) all of Olive Branch, MS, and Teresa Whitten of Grenada, MS; her sons, Christopher Hardenburgh (Becky) of Water Valley, MS, Scott Hardenburgh (Melinda) of Grenada, MS, Wheeler Lishman III of Coffeeville, MS, Charles Lishman (Holly) of Hickory Flatt, MS, Scotty Bardo (Stephanie) of Bruce, MS, Jimmy Dewayne Bardo (Nathan) of Coffeeville, MS and Michael Bardo (Mandy) of Coffeeville, MS; her sisters, Millie Dunn and Carol Dominguez both of Munising, MI and Cora Kerrick of Williamsfield, IL; her brothers, Jerry Trombley of Water Valley, MS and Lloyst Trombley of Wetmore, MI; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Braatz and Muriel Binns.
