McDERMOTT Mary M. (Dirrane) age 82 of West Roxbury, June 17, 2014. Beloved wife of Herbert F. McDermott. Dear mother of Marie Fotos and her husband Stephen of Peabody, Kevin and his wife Bridget of Franklin, Sean B. and his wife Liz of Norwood and the late Herbert T. and Gerard. Loving grandmother of Siobhan, Sean K., Colleen, Erin, Maggie and Brendan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday June 20th. at 10:30am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 11:30am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Mary was known for her great sense of humor and love of family. Having grown up on Irishmore, Co. Galway, immigrated to the USA as a young lady. Mary and Herbert married in July of 1957.
