In Taunton, April 10, 2014 Joseph T. Martyniak husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (May) Martyniak died at his home with his family by his side at the age of 93. Born in Taunton, Joseph was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Martyniak. He was a graduate of Taunton High school and a US Air Force Veteran serving during WWII. Joseph was a retired Insurance Broker working for several Insurance Companies. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and was an active and faithful parishioner of St Ann’s Church. Joseph enjoyed Golf, beading, piano and organ playing, making model air planes, landscaping and he also enjoyed volunteering at My Brother’s Keeper. On May of 2013 Joseph was part of the Honors Flight honoring the WWII Veterans in Washing DC. He was the loving father of Donna Martyniak of Taunton, Joyce McCasland and her husband Kenneth of Rochester Minnesota and Dorothy Booth and her husband Jeffery of Beverly. Grandfather of Laura, Jennifer, Matthew, Lauren and six great grandchildren. Brother of Henry Martyniak of Taunton and the late John and Walter Martyniak. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, April 15th from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Ann’s Church in Raynham on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will be private at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
