In Taunton, April 10, 2014 Dorothy A. Godek-Jacques, Age 90 passed away in Wedgemere Nursing Home following a lengthy period of failing health. Dorothy was the wife of the late Walter P. Godek and her second husband Emile Jacques. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Patrick & Anna (Collins) McLaughlin. Dorothy has resided in Raynham most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham and enjoyed crocheting, visiting her cottage in Plymouth on Great Herring Pond and spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her children Christopher Godek and his wife Sandy of GA, Walter Godek and his fiancee Jean Reed of North Dighton, Kevin Godek and his wife Nancy of Plymouth, Robert Godek and his wife Dana of CO and Patricia Godek and her companion Armond Emond of Raynham. She also leaves her brother Richard McLaughlin of Attleboro and her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, April 15th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
