Hazzle Naramore Harwell Obituary - Water Valley MS

Hazzle Naramore Harwell, age 73, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born June 3, 1940 in Birmingham, AL to the late Oscar and Minnie Farley Naramore. Hazzle was a self-employed carpenter, working alongside her husband, Van Harwell. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church in Lafayette County, MS and enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors, cooking and quilting. Hazzle enjoyed life to the fullest and treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks immediately following the visitation. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery in Lafayette County, MS with Joseph Byrd, Jeremy Harwell, Ben Cook, Mike Burrows, Josh Dryer, Tim Osman and Billy Naramore serving as pallbearers.

Hazzle is survived by her daughter, Ronda Byrd and her son, Randy Harwell, both of Water Valley, MS; two brothers, Buck Naramore (Mary) of Grenada, MS, Floyd Naramore (Nana) and Wallace Naramore all of Water Valley, MS; four grandchildren, Jeremy Harwell, Avonlea Hope Harwell, Joseph Byrd and Lindsey Winchell; five great grandchildren, Joseph Britt, Tre Winchell, Abbey Winchell, Destiney Byrd and Layla Brooke West Harwell.

In addition to her parents, Hazzle was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Van Derlin Harwell and her daughter, Lisa Harwell.
