Martha Robinson Wilson Obituary - Water Valley MS

Martha R. Wilson, age 78, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Frances Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born February 25, 1936 in Memphis, TN to the late Harry and Virgie Langston Robinson. Martha worked as a secretary and was a comptometer operator for Aubrey Epps and Goldsmith’s in Memphis, TN. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. Martha was also an avid classic movie lover and tv watcher and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Mark Taverna, Chris Taverna, Dalton Bartley, Charles Bartley, Tony Kelly and Ken Pound will serve as pallbearers.

Martha is survived by two daughters, Stacy Bartley of Jackson, TN and Samantha Taverna of Memphis, TN; her son, Joe Taverna of Hernando, MS; her brother, Ralph (Charlotte) Robinson of Bartlett, TN; three grandchildren, Hailey Kirk, Charlie Bartley and Dalton Bartley; and her constant companions, the cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Pound and her son, Clint Wynns.
