Obituary

…Union Pipefitter, Lowell Limousine; 66
Nashua, NH – Gerald “Gerry” Pagliuca, age 66, died peacefully in his sleep Thursday morning, February 27th. He was the beloved husband of Marynell (Campbell) Pagliuca, with whom he had celebrated a 26th wedding anniversary this past January 16th.
Gerry was born in Everett, September 29, 1947, the son of the late Chester and Thelma (Boudreau) Pagliuca, and was raised in Everett. He graduated Everett High School with the Class of 1964, and attended Northeastern University. He was proud, but not boastful, to have once been “scouted” by the N.Y. Yankee’s Baseball Team during his high school years. As a devoted single father, he raised his family in Lowell, before moving to Tewksbury then Nashua in 2008.
Gerry worked throughout New England as a Local 537 Union Pipefitter. When he would pass a landmark skyscraper, or Gillette Stadium, or the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant, he would proudly point out that he laid the pipe and had helped build it.
In the late 80’s he also founded and successfully operated Studio One Limousine Company, based in Lowell. Once chauffeuring Mohammed Ali as well as many other celebrities. Since retirement, he has proudly worked along side his son, the owner of Lowell Transportation Inc., driving vans for special needs adults. Gerry loved everything about cars, and owned an extensive private collection of antique cars.
Gerry was a devout Catholic Layman, who had acquired extensive knowledge about the teachings of the Bible, attended St. Catherine’s Church in Hudson, NH, and St. William’s when he was a resident of Tewksbury.
Gerry was lovingly described as having been “crazy about his family, and especially crazy about his grandchildren."
Besides his beloved wife Marynell, he leaves three children and their spouses; Jeffrey Pagliuca and his wife Kelly (Furlong) of Lynn, Ms. Joel Paleologos and her husband Andrew of Dracut; Gerald Pagliuca and his wife Bridgid (Fitzpatrick) of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Benjamin and Jessica Paleologos of Dracut, Elizabeth, Emily, and Olivia Pagliuca all of Tewksbury; two sisters, Irene Alhberg of Woburn and Christine Underwood and her husband Robert of Wakefield; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends throughout New England.
His Funeral Mass was held Monday, March 3, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, “JDRF” 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY, 10004, will be appreciated. Visit JDRF.org
