Neal A. Wharf, 78, of Malden, NH, passed away Jan. 2, 2014 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born in Winchester, Mr. Wharf was a long-time resident of Stoneham, Hampton, NH and Malden. He was employed as a janitor at Winchester High School, and also worked for many years at Boston Gas Company and later as a self-employed plumber.
In his spare time, Neal enjoyed WWF wrestling, going to Anthony’s in Malden and going to the beach.
He was the devoted father of Paul Wharf and his wife Kaitlyn of N. Andover, Marie Kolb, Ann Stump, Michael & Mark Kolb and the late Neal Colb, Jr. Step-father of Kevin, Barry & David Richards. Mr. Wharf was the former husband of Janet (Borgal) Wharf. He leaves behind his companion Faith Castrini and her children Elena, Kristy, William and Kylee, his siblings; Bro. Augusta Wharf, Jean Simonds, Gail Stafford, Virginia Port, Ruth Differ, Estelle Wharf and the late Leona Hajny, and is further survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Funeral from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main St., Malden on Wed., Jan. 8 at 8:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 790 Salem St., Malden at 9:00AM.
