In Taunton, October 17, 2013 Joseph Benoit, Age 63, passed away in Morton Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. Joseph is survived by his wife Susan (Simmons) Benoit of North Dighton. He was born in Attleboro, the son of the late Leo & Phyllis (Robinson) Benoit. Joseph has been a Dighton resident the past 42 years. He was a self employed distributor. He was instrumental in the development and location of the Lopes Athletic Complex in Dighton. Joseph enjoyed coaching baseball, watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and above all cherished his time with his family. Joseph is survived by his children Joseph Benoit and his wife Laura of New Mexico, Jeremy Benoit and his wife Erin of Austin, TX, Kathy Benoit Marr and her husband David of Somerset, Jeffrey Benoit of Dighton and Jonathan Benoit of Dighton. He also leaves his loving grandchildren Emily, Cameron, Dillon, Lillian, Avery, Ethan, Morgan and Molly. Joseph leaves his siblings Michelle Miller of CA, Mary MacDonald of Dighton, Leo Benoit of Berkley and William Benoit of Dighton. A service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 400 Cross Road, North Dartmouth, MA 02747 on Weds., Oct. 23rd at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues. from 5-7 pm. at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 Burial will be in Stevens Corner Cemetery in Rehoboth.
