Lucien R. Cote, 73, of 7 First Street died Tuesday, July 10 in UMass Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 22 years Carol M. (Anderson) Cote. Three daughters Tammy Fitzgerald and her husband John of Holden, Lori Booth and her husband Al of Spencer and Kim Lee Cote of Worcester, four brothers Patrick Cote and his wife Joanne of Concord, NH, Arthur Cote and his wife Linda of Davenport, FL, Henry Cote and his wife Rita of Manchester, NH and Ernest Cote of Milford, NH, two grandchildren Genevieve Foresteire and her husband Adam of Spencer and Shane Fitzgerald of Holden, two great-granddaughters Abigail & Averie Foresteire and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers Sylvio & Roland Cote and two sisters Cecile Boisvert & Anne Iselin.
Mr. Cote was born in Southbridge, son of Raoul and Laura (Daneault) Cote. He worked at General Motors Corp. in Framingham for 27 years retiring in 1989. After retiring he drove for SCRRI for several years and enjoyed his time there. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening, traveling to Maine and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
