Thomas V. Lord, 76, of Westport died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of Lucy L. (Tripp) Lord, they were married for 56 years. Born in Fall River, he was son of the late John I. and Margaret (Vickers) Lord. Mr. Lord was owner / operator of Thomas V. Lord Excavating.
Including his wife, survivors include 4 sons: Thomas J. and Mary Anne Lord of Westport, Quentin D. and Donna Souza-Lord of Westport, David B. Lord of Dartmouth and William and Lynn Lord of Westport; 3 daughters: Carol A. and Jefferson Borden, Jr. of Westport, Catherine M. Lord of Longview, WA and Elizabeth A. and Richard Lord-Correia of Fall River; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
