Charles A. Seifert, II, 60, a lifelong resident of Salem, NH died Wednesday at Parkland Medical Center.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, the son of Charles W. & Garnett (Eighme) Seifert.
He grew up and was educated in Salem, NH graduating from Woodbury High School in 1963. He received a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from Boston University and a Masters Degree in Humanities from New York University.
He taught English and Theater Arts at Salem High School until his retirement last year. He was Past President and a Trustee for Dollars For Scholars, a member of the camping services board of the YMCA, Vice President and a Board Member for Primary Source of Watertown, MA, Past President of the Salem Education Association and a member of the National Education Association.
He was predeceased by his sister Sara S. Piper.

Memorial Visitation will be on Sunday, May 7, from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 8 at 10 AM at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH
