Obituary

WORCESTER: Christine V. (Leary) Flynn, 60, of 136 Heard St., died suddenly on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital, after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her daughter, Christa Robyn Flynn of Spencer; 2 brothers, Patrick M. Leary and his wife Paula of Worcester, John J. Leary and his wife Donna of Northfield; 2 sisters, Kathleen M. Moore and her husband Bob of Oysterville, WA, Susan E. Leary of Sumner, IA; many nieces and nephews; her long time companion Louis Andronica of Cambridge; and her best friend, Alana Wesson of Worcester. Her former husband, William F. Flynn, died March 20, 2007. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late John P. and Barbara F. (McKenna) Leary and was a 1968 graduate of St. Peter’s High School. She also earned an associates degree in respiratory therapy at Quinsigamond Community College.
Chris worked as a respiratory therapist at UMass Memorial Medical Center- Memorial Campus for 18 years. She was also the Training Representative for SHARE, the State Healthcare and Research Employees Union of AFSCME, AFL-CIO. She was a founding member of ROAR, Residents Opposing an Access Road to Worcester Airport. She enjoyed vacations at the Cape, her dogs Gus and Grace, and enjoying life to the fullest.
CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 6 P.M. on SUNDAY, MARCH 27, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 6 P.M. in the funeral home. After cremation, burial of ashes will be at the convenience of the family.
