My deepest condolences, Kim, on the death of your father. Peter and I met at Michigan State's Biological Station when your family was there in the summer of 1969. When I was job hunting after graduation, he put in a good word for me, and arranged for the interview which resulted in my first teaching job at Quincy HIgh School. He was a wonderful role model for this beginning teacher, and I've never forgotten his thoughtfulness. Please extend my sympathy to your entire family; you'll be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
