Irene “Renee” (Torres) Rosa, age 84, of Fall River. Passed away Sep. 24, 2008. She was the wife of the late Everett Rosa. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel & Maria (Mello) Torres. She was a graduate of Herricks Institute of Business and was on the Women’s Council at Borden East Apartments. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Rosa was the proprietor of Ren Rose Dress Shop on S. Main St. in Fall River. She was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Church and a former parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by a son: Russell E. Rosa & his wife Kathleen of Fall River and several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel “Mickey”, Charles & Adelino Torres, Alice Leonardo, Maria “Lucy” Lopes, Eva Silvia & Bella Tavares.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 P.M.
