Dearest Richard, I miss you so very much. We had 55 years of much happiness and some sadness. I'm glad your suffering is over and you are at peace. I look forward to the day you, Susan and I will be reunited in our heavenly home. Love, Esther

My dear Richard, my "adopted father". You are very sorely missed, already. But, we know that no one who was loved, is ever really gone, for they live on in the hearts of those they have left behind. And, you were very loved. How blessed I was to have had you (and Esther) enter my life at such a late point in my life, but a much needed time. However, we quickly became like family. I am blessed with so many wonderful memories of celebrations together- both of us sharing our "old stories", which you had many of!! As did I! I'll never forget you teaching me how to waltz down the corridor of your condo, while sharing a "toddy" together! How you first met me on the grass outside the condo when I first moved in. You thought I had lost something on the ground because I was crouched down, to see it was my little puppy, Toby. Most of all, how will I ever forget your ear to ear smile, your little chuckle when you laughed, your curly white hair and of course, your beautiful, twinkling Irish blue eyes!! Yes, you will be missed greatly! But you will live on in our hearts. I promise I will do my best to take care of your little Esther! Until we all meet again....Our hearts will always be connected. Love, "Your Cupcake"' Nancy Michelle

Richard, Although I did not have the honor of knowing you, I feel as if I know much about you. Nancy has shared with me many a story of what a wonderful man you were! And, how she viewed you as her "adopted father", and loved you and your wife, Esther. And, I know Nancy will look out for her in your place. I know you liked to share stories, as do I. Must be the Irish in both of us!!! Godspeed to you, Richard. You will be missed. Sincerely, Ed Walsh

Esther, our love and prayers go out to you. We are saddened to lose a great friend and great neighbor. We all had a lot of laughs many good times over the years, from condo parties to pool parties, to backyard parties, to dinners out. Dick was the great story teller from his times with JFK and the Fitzgeralds in Boston when he was a kid. We are going to miss Richard greatly. If there is anything you need just call.
