I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Mark for a very brief period but in that time, he amazed me by his constant positivity, love of nature, and complete empathy. I pray that he is in a better place, surrounded by loved ones and smiling down on us all.

Mark was one of my 4th grade students. We recently reconnected and I was honored to be able to read some of his stories and poetry. He recently sent me his book which I will now reread with him in my thoughts and prayers. His suffering was beyond what anyone should have had to endure and yet through it all, he maintained his faith and positive attitude. The student has become the teacher. God keep you in his care, Mark. Angela Donovan

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to members of Mark's family. He was an inspiration and helped me when I thought that I was too old to go back to college and finish my degree. I enjoyed our debates and I will always remember his unbelievable strength and determination.

George, Ralph and the dear family of Mark. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Mark was one of the kindest, talented and wonderful of men one could call friend. After I became ill myself, his encouragement, courage and joy of life helped return mine to me. I have started to write again, thanks to Mark. He will always be part of the lives he touched making them richer for having known him. I will alway treasure his sense of humor and the warm memories of Mark. Mark you are loved and never to be forgotten. Love you friend. Will be watching for your messages in the winter. So shake those feathers, let it snow!

To Mark's family, my deepest condolences on Mark's passing. I have known Mark for close to 20 years and believe that he was always one of the most intelligent and compassionate men that I have ever known. Mark loved his friends and family, he loved continuing to learn and read. He enjoyed chess, travel, and writing, along with nature, animals, birds, and fishing. Mark also loved being a lawyer. Almost right up until the end, he was still doing legal work. You will be missed by so many, Mark. Rest in peace. To the family, prayers and sympathy, may your memories of Mark bring you some peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Mark was an special person who always strived to do his personal best .I miss his daily postings of signs of serene landscapes and beautiful birds . I feel Mark valued his friends and family so much . He was so responsive to questions and gave great advice . I hope he enjoyed the photos of local landscapes of the town he grew up in and I presently live in .
