He was always kind to me- i will never forget the Irish Musical doll he gave me on my 18th christmas that I spent my chritmas with him and his loving family. I will miss him very much. I know he will be safe and pain free in GOD'S arms.

I first met Bob when I became a police man and was assigned to Dist 16 in the Back Bay.in 1952. We quickly became good friends and continued our association even after we retired. We got to know each others family and enjoyed their company. When we got together with other retired officers we loved talking about our adventures as police officers. The stories became better and better, but no matter, it was loads of fun and I will miss him. Our ranks are getting thinner with the passage of time and not having Bob to talk to takes some joy out of my life.

Boston, MA,
Dearest Mary Beth, Lisa and Bobby, I am deeply saddened to hear of your recent loss and would like to express my heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the recent passing of your father. My prayers are with you at this most difficult of times. I first met Bob in 1973 when we were both students at UMass. I was a teenager then studying in Boston away from my family, and your father who was older, made a lasting impression on me with his strong values, deep compassion and personal character. He soon became a role model and we exchanged stories about our families. Bob also facinated me with his experiences in the U.S. Navy and as a Boston police office. Over the years, we grew to be close friends, and after meeting all three of you, I recognized that you were indeed raised in the warm, loving and caring family as Bob had often described. For four decades, I have had the pleasure of witnessing the selfless love he had for his family, especially his children and his grandchildren of whom he always spoke glowingly. I cannot express fully the extent to which Bob impacted my life. He passed on to me his strength for which I will always been grateful. He encouraged me, as I know he did with all of you and his grandchildren, to take on challenges which might seem impossible. I have admired him throughout our friendship and consider myself very fortunate to have had such a fine gentleman as my close ally and friend for forty years. I feel a profound loss without his presence and only wish I had the opportunity to personally say goodbye. I will never forget him. Shantee Maharaj, [email protected] Boston, MA
