Mrs. Lucille B. (Rioux) Larivee, of Taunton and Ocean Grove, N.J., passed on to eternal life on Thursday, July 15 in the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Laurent G. Larivee. She was born 87 years ago in Fall River, the daughter of the late Louis and Marie Anne (Levesque) Rioux. She was educated in Taunton, where she had resided for 80 years before moving to New Jersey three years ago to be near her daughter, Susan. Prior to her retirement, she had owned and operated Lucille’s Beauty Salon in Taunton for 30 years. She was a member and Past President of the Taunton Cosmetology Association. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Susan Gainsborg and her partner, Brian O'Donnell of New York and Ocean Grove, N.J.; 3 sisters: Theresa Haradon and her husband Dr. Robert Haradon of Wilmington, N.C., Sister Fern Rioux SUSC of the Holy Union Sisters, Claire Chamberlain and her husband, J. Charles Chamberlain of Massapequa Park, Long Island, N.Y.; 1 brother-in-law: Thomas Hebert, Jr. of Taunton; 2 sisters-in-law: Jean Rioux and Jeannette Rioux both of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Larivee was also the sister of the late Louis Rioux, Jr. of Fla., Lucien Rioux, Paul Rioux, Donald Rioux and Yvette (Rioux) Hebert all of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Tuesday, July 20 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
