Jayne (Emerson) Bailey, 70, of Gilford, NH, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, in Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA. She was born on March 16, 1954 in Derry, NH, a daughter of Robert and Winnifred (Daskey) Emerson.
Jayne was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family, and also an integral part of the family business. Jayne grew up in Derry & Londonderry NH where she graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1972 and meet her lifelong partner, Bryan. She was influenced by and involved in singing and playing her guitar from an early age. She lived life well, riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, hiking with her "grand dogs", & a short time with small airplanes and enjoying boating throughout the Lakes Region, and also really enjoyed her time with the Lakes Region Corvette Club. She touched the hearts of many families over the years. She was an advocate for the Gilmanton and Laconia music program as her children and grandchildren passed through the programs. As part of the Laconia Band Boosters, she was always helping and would welcome all who would stop by the lake house. Jayne was a force to be reckoned with and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bryan L. Bailey of Gilford; son, Craig T. Bailey and wife Marcie of Hudson, NH; daughter, Jessica J. Bailey of Laconia; four grandchildren, Aaron Day, Travis Day, Olivia Bailey, and Elizabeth Bailey; two sisters, Gayle Gagnon of Londonderry, NH, and Faye Tinkham of Derry, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, there are no services at this time. The Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
